EAZA 2023 will take place in Scandic Marina Congress Center (Street address: Katajanokanlaituri 6, FI-00160 Helsinki)
Scandic Marina Congress Center is a unique congress center located right in the heart of the city. Its waterfront location, only a short walk from Helsinki centre, makes Marina Congress Center an incomparable venue for conference and gala events. There is magnificent sea view towards the Helsinki archipelago throughout the year. Scandic Grand Marina hotel is located across the street.

Posters should be designed to A2- portrait (420mm wide by 594mm high) or A1 - portrait (594mm wide by 840mm high).
Don't forget to bring the poster(s) to the conference venue or alternatively sent it with a delegate who is attending. The Organizing secretariat offers a printing service as well as delivery to the conference venue if you wish to avoid carrying bulky poster tubes on the plane:

Trailblazing Trainers pre-conference workshop
The Animal Training Working Group and the EAZA Academy will once again be offering a workshop before the conference on 18 March at Parco Natura Viva. This introductory workshop is a great opportunity for participants to get a taste of the techniques and applications of force free animal training. The day will include some lecture sessions and also practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions.

As part of the EAZA Annual Conference 2023, a special opportunity is offered to visit EAZA Member Ranua Wildlife Park in Southern Lapland.
Conference delegates will arrive on Sunday 10 September in Rovaniemi (at own expense) from where a bus transfer will depart at 14:00 for a one-hour drive to Ranua.
On Sunday and Monday participants will join in a special programme at Ranua, including guided tours and dinner at the Wild Arctic restaurant. On Monday evening 11 September you will take the return flight to Helsinki at 17.55. Or you can schedule your return to Helsinki at another convenient date or time.
Accommodation at Ranua is available either in a holiday villa or an Arctic igloo and can be pre-booked online. Annual conference delegates will receive a special discount (Arctic igloo reduction of €125, holiday villa €40.)
