The EAZA Academy offers a wide range of courses covering areas as diverse as animal husbandry and nutrition, zoo and aquarium management, and educational related courses. In addition, a number of workshops are available free-of-charge to delegates at EAZA Annual Conferences.
New courses are added to the Course Calendar so keep checking back.
The EAZA Academy is pleased to have a Memorandum of Understanding with The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) to become ‘learning partners’. The goal of this agreement is to expand the professional development training opportunities available to EAZA and AZA members.
Through this agreement approved courses achieved by each organisation can count towards either the EAZA Academy Diploma or AZA Professional Development Certificate programme.
Visit the Association of Zoos & Aquariums’ website to learn more about their courses, webinars, and conferences that can help you enrich your career.
You can now register for EAZA Academy courses online, please check the course information for details of how to apply.
In the light of the COVID-19 outbreak being classed as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation, and in line with guidance from them and other sources, EAZA will only be offering online training opportunities in 2021. Face-to-face training will resume in 2022 as long as courses can be held safely and in compliance with any local restrictions.
