Antelope conservation has been supported during the last five years, thanks to the dedication of 40 EAZA Members and partners. Each year, 10–12 unique antelope species benefit from direct support from EAZA Members — a testament to the commitment to protecting these remarkable animals.

Large forest antelopes such as the bongo and giant eland rank high on the list, often thanks to successful multi-zoo collaborations that pool expertise and resources for greater impact. Species in arid ecosystems receive some of the highest funding levels, reflecting both their urgent conservation status and the need to safeguard entire fragile habitats.

But, there are opportunities to do more! With climate change, habitat loss, and poaching putting increasing pressure on wild populations, every contribution counts, and we can increase the impact for antelope conservation significantly!
