EAZA Directors' Days and AGM 2019 was hosted by Jersey Zoo, United Kingdom from 23 to 25 April 2019, with an optional zoo visit on Friday 26 April. The event took place at Radisson Blu Waterfront in St Helier  (Jersey) and is open to Director level employees of EAZA Member institutions of all institutional and organisational categories (inclusive of Full, Temporary and Candidate for Membership institutions (with a support letter from the respective mentor) and National Associations).

 The day-to-day programme:

    • 23 April (Tuesday): Membership and Ethics Committee meeting I 10:30 - 13:00 (closed), 13:00 - 13:30 Lunch,  Membership and Ethics Committee meeting II 13:30 - 15:00 (closed), Executive Committee Meeting 15:00 - 19:00 (closed), Icebreaker at Maritime Museum (20:00 - 22:00)
    • 24 April (Wednesday): Meeting day plus optional BBQ night dinner at the Radisson terrace, approx. cost is €35 (own expense)
    • 25 April (Thursday): Meeting day including Annual General Meeting, plus Gala Dinner
    • 26 April (Friday): Optional visit to Jersey Zoo in the morning and an additional afternoon visit to the release site of red-billed choughs; National Associations Committee meeting 8:30 – 13:00 (closed), Technical Assistance Committee meeting 14:00 - 19:00 (closed)

Zoo visit schedule (26 April)

9.15am – Delegates get picked up from the Radisson

9.45 – Breakfast at Jersey zoo

10.15 – 10.45 - Talk and Presentation with Dr. Glyn Young on the Pochard project, or explore the zoo at own leisure

12.00 – 13.00  Lunch in DODO or FIREFLY café at own expense

13.30 – Bus departs to chough project

13.45 – 14.45 - Visit chough Site

14.45 – Bus departs back to Radisson
