EAZA Tiger Campaign 2002/4
Campaign efforts at Zoo Osnabrück
Zoo Osnabrück started the EAZA Tiger Campaign in June 2003. From June until October 2003 an exhibition with information on tigers was provided to the zoo visitors, which also included a poster for blind people. On this relief poster, blind people could feel a tiger track and tiger fur.
Activities conducted by the institution included a tiger quiz and a painting contest for children. The pictures of 15 winners of the painting contest were exhibited with the pictures of the exhibition "Artists for Nature".
This exhibition of twelve international artists who worked together in the Indian National Park 'Bandhavgarh' was provided by Zoo Osnabrück from September till December 2003. It was launched by Wolfgang Weber and the winner of the painting contest.
In April and May 2004 an interactive information exhibition on tigers, "Tiger in Gefahr", developed by ESSO, was provided to the zoo visitors. On some sundays during this exhibition children could have their faces painted.
