EAZA Tiger Campaign 2002/4

Campaign efforts in Marwell Zoological Park

All for tigers
Marwell Zoological Park is also this year throwing its weight behind the EAZA Tiger Campaign to save tigers in the wild.
Marwell Zoo organised a special Tiger Safari on 16 July 2004, and made a total of UKŁ1,140 (€1,760). During the first Tiger Safari, which was organised in 2003, Marwell Zoo made UKŁ393 (€610); so one can see this year's Safari was even bigger and more successful! Marwell has three Amur tigers: Yenna, Gamin and Ivan.
In addition to the Tiger Safari, Marwell is running a Team Tiger Summer Camp for children in August 2004. This aims to raise awareness and interest in the plight of tigers.
