Campaign efforts in Poznan Zoo
An exhibition with a collection box near the tiger paddock provides funds. During weekends (every other Saturday or Sunday) a stand is placed near the tiger paddock and the education staff collects funds more actively.Until 1 September 2003, the zoo has collected approximately € 1,700.-.
One of the most popular sportsmen in Poland, a boxer named Darius 'Tiger' Michalczewski, supported the Tiger Campaign by auctioning his boxing gloves and signing posters for a small contribution.
Additionally, the zoo has produced a DVD on the EAZA Tiger Campaign. Apart from selling this to the public it is also distributed to schools for education.
For a small donation to the campaign, kids can have their face painted.
