EAZA Tiger Campaign 2002/4
Campaign efforts in Paradise Wildlife Park
Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne, has come up with a novel way to raise money for the EAZA Tiger Conservation Campaign and to get rid of old junk at the same time!
Up for auction will be equipment in storage and items acquired from the closed Millennium Dome for a zoo project that did not materialize. This is a good way of clearing up and generating money for tigers: we are inviting other people to enter plants and equipment, vehicles (both new and vintage), farm machinery- in fact almost anything! The Park is asking people who enter items to make a contribution to the EAZA Tiger Campaign or to donate proceeds from a specific auction item to the campaign.
Paradise Wildlife Park is also organising a European Tiger Conservation Month for August 2003. This will involve a series of daily fundraising activities combined with a number of special events throughout the month. We like the concept of awards for fundraising associated with the campaign and are determined to get at least a Gold Award!
