EAZA Tiger Campaign 2002/4
Russian Tiger and Leopard Day
The "Russian Tiger and Leopard Day", is a special event that took place as part of the EAZA Tiger Campaign on 27 September 2003 and 26 September 2004. This event was being organised to give European wide attention to the situation of the tiger (and leopard)in the wild. All EAZA members were invited to take part in the celebrations.The event was an excellent opportunity for zoos to enhance their campaign efforts by using the day as a fundraising tool and to increase awareness. Also zoos that, so far, have not participated in the campaign were invited to take part.
