    Fundraising Certificates
    The fantastic preliminary fundraising result of more than €450,000 meant that several participants reached the targets for the Arovako i Madagasikara Fundraising
    Certificates.

    These colourful certificates are awarded in recognition of the fundraising achievements of the participating zoos and aquariums. The five different fundraising certificates, designed by Bristol Zoo and each showing a fossa drawing by Nick Garbutt, are sent to participants that have reached the targets and transferred their money to the Madagascar Campaign account.
    Please send your campaign funds to the Madagascar account as soon as possible, to enable us to send out funds to the Madagascar projects.

    Several non-EAZA institutions also raised funds for the campaign and received a fundraising certificate as well: Rare Species Conservation Centre, Zoo d'Asson and Isle of Wight Zoo (Bronze), Ravensden Plc and Beveridge Herpetological Trust (Gold).

    Special Awards
    The EAZA Madagascar Campaign was not just about successful fundraising, as not all zoos and aquaria have the same fundraising potential. Special Awards were handed out during the closing session at the EAZA Annual Conference in Warsaw, to the following institutions:

  • Madagascar Campaign Education Award
    Winner: Parc Zoologique de Mulhouse
    Runner-up: Parco Natura Viva (Bussolengo)

  • Madagascar Campaign Fundraising Award
    Winner: Blackpool Zoo
    Runner-up: Newquay Zoo

  • Madagascar Campaign Community Impact Award
    Winner: Bristol Zoo
    Runner-up: Zoo Plzen
