'Enore the Lemur' tells her story at Parco Zoo Punta Verde
Through the sale of hand-made goods from Madagascar, educational activities, guided tours inside the lemur enclosure and face-painting Parco Zoo Punta Verde (Lignano) has collected €4,000 for the EAZA Madagascar Campaign.
The educational department of the zoo have put up an informative corner for the visitors next to the Lemurs area. This exhibition was opened in June 2007 and has been very popular. On the panels 'Enore the Lemur', a character created by the zoo, tells the story of Madagascar through a series of cartoon posters. This way of getting the message across caused great interest, especially on the children's part!!!
For the adult public, on the other hand, posters were created explaining the environmental problems of Madagascar and what the EAZA Madagascar campaign is doing to help this beautiful Paradise on Earth!! All Madagascar information will be left on display for the next years, so visitors can keep learning about this island even after the campaign has closed.
