    Project Madagascar in Zoo Dvur Kralove
    1. 'Save the Madagascar' Multimedia Presentation Contest
    Zoo Dvur Kralove cooperated within the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoos (UCSZ - 19 zoos) to establish a national contest. All Czech and Slovak zoo educators were immediately enthusiast and decided to join the competition. The contest final took place on 16. June 2006 in Pilsen and 10 winner groups from the whole country were present there.

    2. Madagascar Painting Contest
    The zoo addressed primary-school pupils and were sent 498 presentations to contest the prize. The 50 best young painters were awarded by the a sponsor at the Madagascar Day and an exhibition was made with these paintings.

    3. Madagascar Day
    A Madagascar trail with a number of info panels was set up. Visitors tried to jump as far as a lemur, catch a fly like a chameleon and put together giant puzzles of fossa and lemur pictures. There was also a Madagascar quiz with six questions in different stands.

    4. Photo Exhibition 'Madagascar - Silent Crying Paradise'
    The exhibition contained a collection of 150 photos (50 x 35 cm), focusing on animals, plants, people and landscapes of Madagascar. The exhibition attracted a lot of publicity to the campaign during the whole season. The autor and field zoologist Vladimir Lemberk, gave a lecture 'Madagaskar - Admirable Lemuria' for the public in the local library.

    5. Walk beyond the lemurs
    A walk was organised on International Earth Day, 22 April 2007. It was attended by 113 participants from primary and secondary schools. The walk was 5 km long and there were seven stands with info panels and questions for the participants.
