'Learn the Lemur Lingo' at Bristol Zoo Gardens
Bristol Zoo is going M.A.D. for Madagascar this year, joining in with the annual EAZA Conservation Campaign. We have lots of fun games and activities planned for the summer holiday period, but our visitor trail is already drawing attention to itself. Bright orange 'splodges' have appeared all around the Zoo next to our 14 Madagascan species. Each 'splodge' highlights the Madagascan animal's English name and its name in Malagasy.

The challenge for our visitors is to find at least six around the Zoo, have a go at saying the Malagasy animal name, fill in their 'Learn the Lemur Lingo' card and leap on over to the Activity Centre for a 'Make A Difference for Madagascar' sticker prize.
Raising awareness is as much a part of the campaign as raising funds, and this trail encourages an awareness of Madagascar's unique language, highlighting the presence of the people behind the wildlife.
