Bushmeat Hearing "Planets of the Apes" in Brussels and handing over of 1.9 million petitions to the EU Parliament |

1.9 million petition are symbolically handed over to the EU Development Ministers in Brussels |

13 January: | The European Parliament discussed the report on EAZA's petition 461/2000 concerning the protection and
conservation of Great Apes and other species endangered by the illegal trade in bushmeat. |

European Parliament approves EAZA Bushmeat demands. A majority of the European Parliament voted in favour of adopting the
