Frog Day at Plock Zoo
Visitors who were guests of Plock Zoo on Sunday 18 May 2008 took part in a special event - Frog Day - organised as part of the EAZA Amphibian Campaign 2008 Year of the Frog.
The main focus of the programme were children`s presentations on the scene. School and kindergarten children introduced six performances which were prepared with the help of their teachers as the response to the drama competition about amphibians announced by the education department of Plock Zoo in January 2008. The jury, headed by Mr. Mariusz Pogonowski, an actor of the Plock Dramatic Theatre, assessed with the script, costumes, interpretation, enthusiasm and conservation message of all performances. The jury awarded prizes - books and frog puppets - to the young actors. Visitors awarded each group with a nice ovation.
Each visitor received educational materials, a leaflet and poster about EAZA Amphibian Campaign - 2008 Year of the Frog.
