Edinburgh Zoo Frog Weekend
The RZSS/Edinburgh Zoo organised a frog weekend in the zoo on 31 May and 1 June. Some of the activities included:
Pond dipping in the reed-bed pond
Leap frogging on the mansion lawn
Frog talks in the discovery centre
The frog and the fungus trail around the zoo
'Picasso the Frog' puppet show
The 'Hop-to-it activity centre' in the education centre with lots of fun 'froggy' games
Zoo staff also attended the local village fair where they sold frog gifts (e.g. cards, photos) and talked to children about the campaign.
A very exciting event, which made the campaign €840, was Polly (the zoo's education officer) abseiling down the forth rail bridge in Edinburgh.
