EAZA Annual Conference
Montpellier, 21-24 September 2011

The EAZA Annual Conference 2011 is hosted by Parc zoologique de Montpellier, the municipal zoo of the city of Montpellier, in the south of France. The conference itself will be held in Le Corum, a modern congress centre located in the heart of Montpellier.

Registrations are now open and accommodation can be booked in a range of hotels located around the city centre.

Wireless internet access will be available free-of-charge throughout the conference venue for all delegates.

Accommodation

Accommodation can be booked online or using the form below. Prices listed include daily room rate, daily breakfast, VAT and service charges. The deposit includes an administration fee of €10 payable to Le Corum. Only requests accompanied by payment will be processed. Reservation requests received after 19 August 2011 will be processed subject to availability of rooms.

Note: you MUST register for the conference BEFORE reserving your accommodation.

CANCELLATIONS: Only cancellations made in writing to Le Corum (e-mail or fax) at least 10 working days prior to the event will be reimbursed, after a deduction of €10 for administration fees.

A list of cheaper accommodation options is also available. The quality of these options is generally lower than those on the official hotel list and most are not located centrally. There is a youth hostel in Montpellier located very close to the conference centre.

Cheaper accommodation options

Travel

Montpellier is located in the south of France, close to the Mediterranean Sea. It can be easily reached by air, rail and road. Montpellier Méditerranée Airport is less than 10km from the city and is served by a range of airlines including Air France, easyJet, Ryanair, Sterling and Transavia. Other airports in the region include Marseille, Toulon and Nîmes.

When registering for the conference you will be given the opportunity to avail of a discount from Air France, the official carrier for the conference.

Montpellier is also served by the TGV high speed rail service as well as a number of other regional and national services. You can find lots of information about rail services to Montpellier here. When registering for the conference you will be given the opportunity to request a discount voucher for French rail services.

EAZA members that haven't registered for the new website yet can find instructions under Member Area. Registration is open to EAZA Members - others interested in attending should contact anouchka.jacquier[at]eaza.net.

Fees

The registration fee does not include accommodation costs. Fees have been calculated to cover the costs of venue hire and set-up, lunches, coffee breaks and conference materials.

The social events (icebreaker, visit to Montpellier zoo, farewell dinner) are offered courtesy of Montpellier Zoo and the municipality. EAZA Members are welcome to visit the zoo freely at any time during the event.

Accompanying partners are welcome to attend the social events, however an additional fee must be paid in this case. The fee, €100, covers the farewell dinner, the zoo visit and the icebreaker.

Payments can be made by credit card, SWIFT transfer or cheque. All fees include VAT.

Cancellation Policy

Only cancellation made in writing (letter, e-mail, fax) at least 30 days prior to the event will be reimbursed after deduction of €50 inc. VAT for handling fees. Delegate registration cancellations received after August 20th will not be refundable.
