This course enables participants to gain a deeper understanding of the genetics and demographics of breeding programmes.
It gives a practical in-depth introduction to globally used studbook software (SPARKS), and a first view of specialist software designed to support effective management of breeding programmes into the future. 
The skills and understanding learnt on this course will enable greater confidence and ability in appropriate decision making when managing breeding programmes to help conserve species.
